~In vino veritas~ hmmmm. care to interpret that for us tea-totalers and non-Latins? For a teatotaling, non-latin speaker, you have made some correct assumptions. Latin - “In wine, there is truth.”

~Altissima quaeque flumina minimo sono labi ~ Very true. Editted to add for an american translation... ~ Aquila non captat muscas ~ = "The eagle doesn't capture flies" i.e. (don't sweat the small things) i.e. = id est = that is ;D

Members,
Some of the post in this thread violate #3 of the Proboards "terms of service". This is not my rule it is Proboards. They can and will shut down our board for violations. I talked with a member of Proboards staff and all the quotes in Latin or Greek will be ok as long as the poster also adds an English translation of the quote along with it. I do not believe in censorship but this board is hosted by Proboards and we have to follow there rules. I will give members 48 hours to edit there post by adding the English translation and any that are not done by then will have to be deleted, sorry. If you have any questions, comments, or complaints please feel free to PM or email me.
Thanks, ADMIN

Thanks, ADMIN Sounds like the folks a proboards have a Orwellian fixation of lossing control. "Political language - and with variations this is true of all political parties, from Conservatives to Anarchists - is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give the appearance of solidity to pure wind." - George Orwell

User's message board and Web site must be in English. I highlighted the reason, the last sentence in #3. When the question was posed to a proboards staff member this was the answer given "all boards including threads and post must be in English, short quotes in other languages are fine as long as an English translation is added" proboards have shut down several message boards in the last few weeks because if this violation which is why as the admin of this board I wanted to make sure our hard work and all your good post did not disappear just as we get going good (although the other boards were larger language violations I wanted to make this clear before it became an issue.) Again not mine or www.madisonfloridaforum.com rules these are proboards. They offer the hosting for free so I have no choice but to comply, sorry. Thanks, ADMIN
