Did you know that Colin Kelly was not the first American pilot to get shot down in WW11. Anyone know who it was?

Correct Elmo. Good job. He felt so strongly about helping with the war and they would not allow him in the USAF so he went to England and joined the RAF and was the first American pilot to be shot down. Well done Elmo. He is buried at a little church in England.

Well, this is kind of history/trivia. I was at the MCHS vs. Live Oak football game Friday night at Madison and was talking to one of the radio announcers from Live Oak. He informed me that he was friends with the 1941 football team captain at the old Madison High School and that he was in attendance. Can anyone tell me who that gentleman is??? Now that's a toughie. Start guessing.

Near the Gadsden County, Florida town of Havana is a small settlement called Coon Bottom. Coon Bottom apparently got its name by being a bottom (along the Ochlockonee River) with an abundance of racoons. It's most prominent business, both now and for the past fifty years at least, is the Coon Bottom Hunt Club.

OK elmo and others here's the hint. The man that was captain of the 1941 football team at MHS was a doctor in neighboring Hamilton Couny for many, many years. Now that's a big hint.
