I wonder who tipped off the AB&T. I was in GOLE and I can tell you we didn't call them. I would never call any names without proof, but being able to reason and have a fairly good sense of deduction, my thoughts on the raids are it was someone that wanted the alcohol (liquor) vote, i.e. to sell liquor in Madison. Then when the petition drive failed, they cried in their spilled milk and said if they can’t have/sell alcohol, then no one can, and called AB&T. That is the only thing that makes sense. The country club and American Legion have been operating that way for as long as I can remember and it had never been an issue, illegal or not. I am sure that one day, Madison will be able to sell legal alcohol, but until then, Lake Park is only two good drinks away, lol. Or, it may have been the bootleggers down in the quarters may have called to just monopolize and seize the opportunity, ya never know… Bottoms up, Mag

Happened again yesterday, the Country Club, Shelby's, they were going to the Legion and Shrine Club also...
They (Alcohol & Tobacco folks) said they were getting a letter once a week about 'illegal' alcohol in Madison, from one source, but they were not able to say who.
Think I'm going to Lake Park and get me a bottle of some ‘illegal’ wiskey…
Bottoms up and remember "Gunga galunga... gunga, gunga-galunga"
