I think "The Voice" is trying to get volunteers to help to clean-up the pallbeareres cemetery in Greenville on the second weekend in November.
I wonder how many of us can volunteer to help? It would be a good experience for all of us to see this cemetery and be part of the solution.
Dobbie, any ideas about heavy equipment to load sofas and building trash into dumpsters?

Mr. Voice can you keep us updated on here?
The cemetery is infested with mosquitos big time. I called mosquito control today and they said they would do their best to spray out there the thursday night before the second saturday which will make things a liitle better.
I will sure sleep better when these poor people in these graves are out from all the garbage. Bring tissues because it will break your heart.

If there are any firemen on this forum - is it possible to burn any of this trash on site?

My son has promised me a backhoe also. If we gets the dumpsters from the county that will be very helpful in loading all the old sofas.

Corky Brandies is donating a dump truck! Before I even told him what I wanted he said, "Whatever you need you've got it".

HAHAHAH. Good one Mike that would be a sight!! I am hoping that my son will be in town to run it. If not he said he would hire an operator. (Just as long as he doesn't give the job to me). I am thinking about providing food for the workers. Maybe hot dogs or sandwiches.

Leather work gloves are a need. No other glove will do. There is some nasty, sharp stuff out there. I'll post something about that and wearing boots. This is construction trash. No telling what we will run into.
I just thought of something. We will need a porta-potty. Wow. I better work on that. I've never needed one so...not sure where to look locally.

Mark and Wendi Webb at the Madison Florist cannot be out to help but they are going to make a red rose with greenery tied with a bow to place on every grave as it is uncovered. This is a nice touch.
