This question was presented to Gene Stokes by G.O.L.E. while the alcohol petition was active. He replied and I quote "We only formed C.A.L.L. so that we could raise money to fight you". In my personal opinion that says it all about the intentions of the C.A.L.L. organization. Sad but true.

Awww, but without hypocisy we'd have nothing to fling at each other and where's the fun in that? I don't mind so much if they're closet drinkers, it's when they come busting out all full of p-n-v that they need to be shoved back in and pad locked. Think of it as quiet time to ponder in the land of alone.

Gas is almost $0.20 cheaper in Cherry Lake (or was last night). Free market trade is the explanation. Until someone wants to invest in a new gas station in Madison and be willing to not to make the profits that the others are making, gas will be higher. I don’t know of anyone that will go into a business and not want to make the maximum amount of profits they can.

i agree. problem is our big "gas man" used to have gas higher at i-state for out of town money. now its cheaper there, and he is padding his pocket in town. he should be giving the local folks a break, if anyone. if the taxes are why its high, why isnt it the same price every where?? and how can gas go up, while your pumping...even though new fuel wasnt delivered? the gas in the ground has already been paid for. an now you can raise it just like that?? hope that never happens to jack daniels, oops forgot, the " gas man" dont get to build his liquor store now ;D

Ahhh, but patience is a virtue, boys. What happens if outside voices start to speak of the things that have been kept so "closet" for all these decades. Won't that be about a B-tch! Karma is also a patient one. What if the time is close for everyone to anti~in?

Nevertheless, what happened at the interstate? Someone else came in and started a competing business. Taking advantage of the locals is not a new thing. When the gas was higher at the interstate, it was still higher in town then the surrounding communities. Locals are always the easiest to take advantage of because they never expect it from other locals. I say we all band together and start our own gas/service station and food mart. Whose got a spare $1,000,000 to get us started? ;D
