I rode the bike trail in Madison yesterday. It was so beautiful! I didn't see another human soul out there, and it was so peaceful. I wish we had more trails like this one that connected. Until then I am content with the dirt roads. =)

Not sure if they allow horses. I didn't come across any poop though.

Thats good to be riding in a clean place. Bet you don't see beer cans and trash thrown down either.

Not sure if they allow horses. I didn't come across any poop though. That's because John hasn't made it out there yet.....

Thats good to be riding in a clean place. Bet you don't see beer cans and trash thrown down either. I didn't come across much on the trail, but its out there on the dirt roads and by the river. No one picks it up, usually it gets washed down the river during the first hard rain.

I love this bike trail and ride or walk it often. At one time I understood that the trail was going to be extended to Madison. I would like to know if this is still planned and what is the current status. A longer trail would be even more attractive. The trail is clean, but it is a real shame that so many people throw trash out alongside our roads.
