Your welcome, I wanted to keep a post board going for Madison County People. With the Greene publishing Board being locked down I wanted to make sure people would have a place to be heard. Thanks for joining and lets get some good post going.

Hi there. I think this is great. Here's hoping this is an open forum and we will not be censored.

I am pretty sure that the Greene board did not need maintenance and the alleged maintenance could probably be done while the board was active. I think we know why it was locked down.

Yes, and under normal circumstances advanced notice would have been given for routine maintenance as well. Let's go ahead and acknowledge the elephant in the room why don't we... www.wctv.tv/home/headlines/34091764.htmlThis is a terrible situation and I'm glad everyone made it out alive. I hope they can all (especially their children) begin to heal and find happiness. I'm sure the GP board was trying to control gossip and protect those involved. I hope their decision to stop the message board saved the children further pain!

I hope their decision to stop the message board saved the children further pain! I do hope the children receive some help from a 3rd party not associated or controlled by the Greenes. They have seen and heard too much bad over the years. The person that has custody of them for the time being needs to swallow their pride and find a good counselor to help them understand what they are feeling and to assist them to move forward. It is not the children's fault and I pray they know that. The unfortunate thing is judging by past actions of the senior Greenes they don't readily admit fault and it probably has not occurred to them that professional help is needed for the children. I fear the long term affects this and other incidents will have on them.

I did want to add one more thing. Ms. E. Greene I hope you have at least lost a little bit of sleep since you fired your 20 year loyal employee for protecting herself. We all have to answer for our actions one day. Karma, you might want to look it up.

The newspaper has bought the Jakes building in Monticello from Larry Casey for the newspaper. Maybe a move for the paper is coming.

I just wish we had a choice of news media in this county. Maybe someone from outside the tall boundaries of Madison county will come in one day and start a paper that reports the news as it happens and not based on personal feelings or relationships. I know unbiased news is a lot to ask for but one can hope.

Sure there's a lot of small free papers that are just as bad but GP is suppose to be THE "newspaper" for Madison. It should be called "The Greenelife Daily".

Relatively speaking, I still fairly new to this area. I am continuously amazed at how strongly people oppose change and "outsiders." I will say that I have been most graciously received by a few people within this community, though.
Reference the situation with the Greene family, I've yet to figure out what good can come of kicking a dead horse...

Well judging by the posts at the end of the WCTV story some Madison residents have been waiting a long time to say what is on their minds about the Greenes. I don't think it is so much beating a dead horse as it is people have grown weary of looking the other way and keeping their mouths shut. Just a thought.

I do not condone William's behavior, but I figure the Greene family is composed of humans, as well.
