There's a lot more to it. You need to go thru the County Commissioners or Clerk of the Courts or something. Maybe Elmer will explain it.

Ok, Let me explain, this is a preliminary list for the Official petition. Please read it. It does not need to go to them for this portion of the petition. This is to prevent the voter roll fiasco they were able to pull off.

For any group that decides to start an official petition drive I can tell you from the last attempt that you better have a knowledgable attorney on the subject from the very start & be able to pay or else it will be failure from the start . The power structure here , in my opinion , is represented by the county attorney which we all pay for in our tax dollars . The power structure here will maintain the status quo no matter the means .

I doubt an attorney will be needed except for the county one. Thanks for the input though, It is welcome. As far as the mentioned power structure, they will try and we will try, status quo has already been chipped by the petition getting the amount of signatures.

From Reuters news service- MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian soccer fans have been told to drink whisky on their trip to Wales for next month's World Cup qualifier to ward off the H1N1 swine flu virus, the head of the country's supporter association (VOB) said Monday. "We urge our fans to drink a lot of Welsh whisky as a form of disinfection," VOB head Alexander Shprygin told Reuters. "That should cure all symptoms of the disease."
Russia's Health Ministry has issued a public warning against traveling to Britain because of the spread of the H1N1 virus but Shprygin said he expected at least several hundred fans would go to Wales for the September 9 qualifier in Cardiff.

Can alcohol benefit your health? It depends on how much you drink. By Mayo Clinic staff You've likely heard to drink in moderation, but what does that mean? And why is moderation important?
Moderate alcohol use seems to offer some health benefits, particularly for the heart. But too much alcohol raises the stakes, putting you at risk of adverse health consequences.
Whether you drink is up to you and your doctor. But here are some points on alcohol consumption to consider.
Benefits of moderation Moderate drinking is defined as two drinks a day if you're a male 65 and younger, or one drink a day if you're a female or a male 66 and older. A drink is defined as 12 ounces (355 milliliters) of beer, 5 ounces (148 milliliters) of wine or 1.5 ounces (44 milliliters) of 80-proof distilled spirits.
Moderate alcohol consumption may provide some health benefits. It may:
¡Reduce your risk of developing heart disease, peripheral vascular disease and intermittent claudication ¡Reduce your risk of dying of a heart attack ¡Possibly reduce your risk of strokes, particularly ischemic strokes ¡Lower your risk of gallstones ¡Possibly reduce your risk of diabetes

Starkiller You do not need the county attorney - this 500+ pound guy is pretty ignorant of the law. Have you seen him telling the county commissioners that by-laws do not have to be obeyed? One very well informed person that saw the spiel told me that the country commissioners should have DEMANDED his resignation on the spot. Oh, well, we have had one individual (the late Ernest Page) and one firm handle the legal work for our county for the past 85 years – now do you understand why things are so screwed up. This one law firm handles the county, the city of Madison, the town of Lee, the Fire Board and the School Board. This ought to be some sort of conflict of interest.

I don't see where being labeled Dry as a big deal. We border several counties that do sell real alcohol. Being a dry county isn't keeping anybody from drinking.
